Kudos speaker price rise and deletion

For those thinking of buying a pair of Kudos speakers there is a price rise from March 1st. The X series is also being deleted. The Titan 808 will now be £25k in standard finish, up from £21,750…ouch.

Nicely rounded up to exactly £25k.:frowning: Did they just pluck that figure out of thin air? :roll_eyes:

I’m surprised and a bit disappointed if the X2 and X3 are to go. They seemed to offer something with Naim at more ‘everyday’ prices compared with the Titan range.

I wouldn’t worry, though no longer flavour of the month, Neat still make great speakers. The Ekstra for example, is excellent.

ATC Dynaudio Neat PMC B&W Sonus Faber Focal… Proac, there’s a lot of choice

At 25k I’d Much rather buy the confidence range from Dynaudio

Yep the Confidence 50 is £23k or Confidence 30 at £17 k…but 2019 pricing?

Kudos is a tiny company I doubt they have the resources to compete with a company like Dynaudio in terms of R&D

The point is that when Dynaudio make a 25k speakers it’s been through decades of experience and R&D

kudos on the other hand ? What justifies this price rise? Anything new ? New tweeter ? New driver ?

Nothing.

It was already too expensive at the previous price compared to the top speakers from B&W or Dynaudio
