Larkin Poe - heard of them?

I call them a “modern blues” band (sisters), Wiki says “roots rock”. Maybe call them “blues rock”. Their stuff is definitely bluesy, immediate, upfront and laid bare. I very much like everything I’ve heard from them. Just wondering if they are known outside the US. One of my favorites:https://youtu.be/cEWiJR9qeoc

They’ve got several albums and all are excellent. Well known in UK and touring this year.
They are well regarded by Joe Bonamassa and are regulars on his Blues Cruise.
Very talented ladies.

Yes. Have heard of them. I like their covers a bit more than their original stuff. The slide playing is quite good.

I saw Rebecca and Meghan, the Lovell sisters (aka Larkin Poe), a couple of years ago at the Marble Factory in Bristol, England and really enjoyed the gig. Rebecca is a great guitarist and Meghan is the ‘Slide Queen’ (their own description). A couple of pics from the gig here:

They produced a lot of covers content on Youtube during the pandemic, which helped keep me sane and are worth a view.

They’ve been involved as well in some interesting collaborations with the like of Ringo Starr, Elvis Costello, Billy Gibbons and Ruthie Foster.

Definitely worth a listen.
