Dear Forum Friends,

After a seven-month hiatus dealing with other priorities from our recent home movement as part of a downsize. Our new home is a single-story building, and this is relevant that due to the narrow hallway and rooms, the leather couch had to come through the window. Alas, and probably a blessing, the old IKEA TV unit was too larger for the room and entry via the window.

This necessitated prioritizing other needs before the music room. Installing bookshelves, display cabinets, and air conditioning in each room, beds, and so forth. Another was waiting for an electrician to install a power point on the wall for my wife’s TV, then the FOXTEL Tech, and finally the chaps to mount the TV on the wall.

Then came my turn, and please see the pic of the old setup with a new Atacama three-shelf stereo stand. The box on the bottom right is the FOXTEL IQ4, Linn LP12 at the top right, and in descending order on the left. CD5XS, XS2, FCXS.

The first disc I listened to was Dire Straits’ “Love Over Gold.” Peace has returned to the TV/Music Room.

Warm regards,

Mitch in Oz.

Thank you, Bevo.

It was a delight to open the packing boxes for my stereo equipment after such a long delay and four-plus hours spent assembling the Atacama flat pack and installing the stereo pieces as I went along. I can vouch that my back was sore and stiff for a couple of days afterward. 112 bits and pieces in total for the Atacama shelving.

Though very happy with the result, visually and audibly. The wife is very happy too with the final result, which is very important as Shelley allowed me to spend the money on the Atacama shelving which was on special at the time.

Warm regards,

Mitch in Oz.
