I listen to this occasionally, as it’s a beautiful record. But also to marvel at what an extraordinarily gifted guitarist can do.
I remember that this LP was released at around the same time as Jimi Hendrix was tearing up the musical world.
They are very different players and play very different music, but I find it difficult to say who is the better guitarist. ‘Vaseline Machine Gun’ is astonishing. (All recorded ‘live’ with no overdubs or studio malarkey.)
