The Sigma isn’t smooth in the top. It’s screamy so if you have a brighter sound now it might be useful to look in to that again. Not saying you should get Neotech (even though it’s the best😁). But on a serious note it might be something to retry so to speak. The Omega is much better than the Sigma if you want to stay in brand.

I wasn’t talking about the DACS. I was referring to the streaming part of the ND compared to the Lindemann.

Then you should hear it modified. It’s very good. It’s actually what I would call a night and day difference between the original and the modified version (exaggerating just a little). That is with the original ps. I’ve tried it with a decent linear and it’s better but not that much and not in all ways.

</div>

Yes it’s a balancing act. To much edge is not good and to soft is not good. A lot of edge with a lot of warmth is good😊

Sigma is far from shouty. Tested against omega and found the sigma to be better. Could the be different with new fw… could… hope not.

I didn’t say it was warmer and softer on ND555. I said ND555 was more upfront.

I said Marantz was warmer and softer!

In my system it was compared to both Omega and Neet

</div>

I don’t think there is much in it between:
Limetree and ND555 (Dac only) and
ND555

Limetree and Marantz SA12SE not as good as ND555 in both above iterarions. Sounds softer and warmer.

Of the top two need to work out which is better or which I prefer!

Sounds like you need to sell the nd555 and one of your 555psus and get a nDAC. Feed that with the Limetree and Marantz.

</div>

Yes. I said earlier I have begun testing Limetree with Farad as streamer with ND555 as DAC vs ND555 used complete.

So switching between the two quite easily. Both are connected up obviously, just press a few buttons on the Naim app and Lindeman app.

I am finding it very difficult to tell the difference between the two. Sometimes I think I prefer the Limetree slightly.

Tough!

I wonder how close NDS + 555PSDR + Limetree Bridge II is to a ND555 setup. Something tells me it’s very similar for way less money.
