Linn Axis

I have a friends Linn Axis to take to my dealer for service and the manual says to put the transit bolt in when transporting. There is no diagram and I cant figure out whete the thing goes. I know this is about a Linn product but thought someone on here may know. The bolt looks like an LP12 suspension bolt.

This might help.

Thats where i saw the note about the transit screw, but there is no diagram. There is a hole in the wooden base of the turntable but the bolt doesnt really find a thread.

Those instructions only need to be followed if the deck is being packed up and transported by a courier.

If you are transporting it by car, removing arm weight, outer and inner platters is all that is required.

Unless you are Mario Andretti.

I sort of thought that too and just removed platters and counerweights. I was just curious as it was on the manual.

Probably just initial unpack from factory if it’s not in the packing list I wouldn’t worry.
It’s not a suspended subchassis like it’s big brother. :+1:t2:
I thought the manual I posted might help.

I had a Linn Axis as a student and after a few summer jobs upgraded to an LP12 - I really wish I hadn’t had to part exchange the Axis which ‘just worked’ and was great value at the time.

I’m honestly wondering if I ever had it boxed (probably did and stored the packaging at my parents’ house) - the dealer was maybe 200 yards from my student digs so wouldn’t surprise me if I just walked it ‘home’ fully assembled. The K9 was so sweet.
