Does anyone have experience of using a Klimax DSM with a 500? I’m interested in reducing box count but not at the cost of sound quality

I have heard the Klimax DSM into 552DR and 500DR.
It sounded more resolved than ND555 with one 555PSDR. We did the test at the dealers.
There wasn’t much in it.
But Linn Klimax DSM with 500DR only would need special cables made up for Linn to be used as preamp.
Other Naim option is 2 x 350 amps.
I would consider alternatives such as Super Integrated amps such as Gryphon Diablo 333 with Grimm MU2 which is meant to be very good according to @Clive .
I may consider a change at some point. But I am enjoying my full 500DR series set up.
Are alternatives better or just different?

They sounded better to me, Dan. I would need to make the comparison at home though to be sure it wasn’t just the clever room treatments. I do want to hear the Dartzeel integrated too though - it has received some very favourable reviews. The trouble is though it’s very difficult to arrange as they’re only built to order and I’m waiting for Absolute Sounds to obtain one.

If you do change it will mean new racks too. The HRS racks look good and Gryphon’s own racks also.
I like the idea of the Gryphon Diablo 333 and will take a listen in the new year.
Looks like the Grimm MU2 is worth checking out also. I look forward to hearing your reviews at some point!
