London Decca cartridges

The leaflet in the box Recommends unipivot arms between of 18 and 25g effective mass with damping or if a gimballed arm is used well damped low friction bearings.

I think I remember Art Dudley reviewed one in a Rega 300 without too much misbehaviour.

The knife edge bearing SME’s are reputed to be problematic.

I didn’t try adding silicon to the Aro’s cup when not using the Townshend trough, maybe I should have.

Thanks for this information Ian, most helpful and as per gaham55’s post, I hope someone out there will have an opinion on suitability.

thanks graham55; I hope someone on the forum will have practical experience of a Decca in an Ekos, or I might one day try to install a suitable arm on my old Goldring Lenco GL 78 as that might be a better option.
