A bit of dream wishing. I have an LP12 Akurate with a Delos Cartridge and wonder what streamer NAIM members might recommend that would be on par with the LP12. It might be asked why not go beyond. However, I think I would have to upgrade my XS2 amplifier first. I had a spare hole in the system rack that was begging for some Naim equipment. Currently, an Apple TV has taken up this spot. In with the Apple and out with the FOXTEL IQ4 box.

@bevo is right in that the ND5 XS2 is the natural match with your XS2 I’d expect the LP12 would be well ahead as your source. But indeed the Accurate spec LP12 would take you well up the Naim range as an excellent source.

I think what you get depends on whether or how far up the Naim range you want to upgrade your amp. If you are sticking with the XS2 then the NDX5S2 is a good choice but as others have said the LP12 will be a much better source. If you want to move up into the Classic range then a NDX2 would be a better choice and would be at a similar level to your LP12. If you want to buy into the New Classic range, then there is the 222 streamer pre or the 333 streamer. However, again the LP12 would be a better source than the streamer side of the 222 whilst the 333 would be at the same level. Going for the 300 series kit would be costly to extremely expensive. If you move up to a second-hand Classic pre-power or a new SN3 and streamer then it becomes much more affordable.
+1 for the fabulous ND5XS2.
And if at some point you hanker after something more, add a pre-owned nDAC. That’s my setup and, TBH, I rarely use my LP12 anymore. It’s “better” but streaming is so convenient – and is a joy in its own right.
I had an nds with two 555 psu’s
I now have an lp12 somewhere in between Akurate and Selekt and I prefer the turntable
I very much doubt it will match Lyra cartridge on Akurate lp12
Thank you everyone for your thoughts. It looks like the LP12 will stay the number one source, and I will stick with purchasing vinyl for the time being.

Might be worth looking at a Supernait 3, I think your doing the right thing keeping your lp12
I have a fully up to spec LP12 /Aro / WilsonBenesch CarbonOne and go back and forth between the NDX2 and the LP12. It is cool to compare - they are similar, but different - sometimes I prefer one, other times the other. I have no intention of getting rid of either.
