Well, we are a week further. Have done al kind of measuring.
Nothing to see , nothing helps.
Wensdaymorning no internet for 1minute, after that everything works great.
Thursday morning exactly the same but for 10seconds no internet.
Now everything works flawless. No dropouts anymore. Als formule 1 was the whole stream at highest quality.
I read on the provider forum that other people also had no internet in the morning do to a firmware update on the modem.
Provider is very quiet and explains nothing.
But for me the problem is solved and i don’t touch anything anymore.
If it works then you have too keep the hands of.
Happy men again with the 272.
Definitely interested in a successor to the 272 with NDX2 streaming capability. Ideally a device that is also properly integrated with the app, which is where my biggest question marks around SN3 are. Would rather use a NAP250 as end-stage.
Let’s keep this up and running
Luckily the 372 will be launched next week in time for Crimbo.
I have tried lots of naim equipment after selling my Naim n-272 I tried the Ndx with 202 and my 250 dr tried the latest Ndx with 202 nd5 they were all very harsh sounding so decided to buy n-272 again and in my opinion for streaming tidal hifi its unbeatable with the 250dr it is truly magical I would not think about changing.
202/250 is a a notorious mismatch in the Naim range. To me, it just didn’t work at all, and that appears to be a widely held view. So I suspect your issue was down to equipment matching within your system rather than being a simple case of Product A is better than Product B.
Love my 272 …actually works fine with a Nap 200
Music from my Nas and Tidal via bubbleserver ( installed on rpi )…transcode flac to wav , but Qobuz is better !!!
Naim pls. Qobuzfy 272 !!
Hi all thank you for all your great comments and support for this thread…please keep them coming … let’s keep our fingers crossed … hopefully Naim will update this fantastic piece of kit…
Looks like there may be a glitch in the Matrix…
How was the 282 on return from Class A?
Was it better than the 82?
Hi @anon77199223 it was actually sent to the head quarters but other than that it is in most ways better than the 82. I still think there is something special about the 82 and specifically when it comes to making a guitarr sound like a guitarr or any other instrument for that matter. It’s not that the 282 is lacking much but it’s just something. It’s really hard to pinpoint and kind of weird considering that the 282 sounds so sweet. To sum up. I’m waiting to get home from work every day so I can listen to my music. It’s that good this setup. Never ever have I had that experience before.
When you say ‘this setup’ - what is that?
Thanks
Jim
An NDS/555PS DR, 282/Hicap DR, 250DR, all naim cables, isoblue rack, dedicated mains, spendor D9 and some room treatment.
Love the 272 ?
for god’s sake, one of the worst attempt ever taken at Naim’s (172 being absolute the worst)
Worth very little if you try to sell ,I’ve been massively critical at its introduction I was right.
Buy and/or service any classic preamp if you want the best.
I’m not the 272’s biggest fan myself, but even I think that’s a bit harsh!
Thats fine if you feel like that…but there are very many who have the opposite opinion…this is a well loved product…with superb sound quality…
That’s a totally ridiculous posting. I assume that you are being provocative rather than that you actually believe what you just wrote. If you do believe what you just wrote then you are wasting everyone’s time by posting anything in this thread.
And you base that claim on what, have you owned one or even listened to one. Judging by your profile you don’t have an gear or live anywhere so why should anyone believe you.
Nice try but unfortunately no cigar.
Nice try pal you clearly haven’t got a clue regarding the 272.
I had both 172 & 272 which makes me very special ahaahah
