If this is an early sign of problems in your power amp, the worst case scenario is that it will eventually fail and quite possibly destroy drivers in your speaker, which can be a more expensive fix than the amp. Get it serviced before it’s too late.
Your short speaker leads could be a factor, does the amp get hot, or did it before it started humming?
