Hi everyone, this evening I noticed that my old connection cable between the D2 and the Supernait 1 isn’t working because one speaker wasn’t audible, and when I replaced the cable, it made a sound. Which cable do you recommend that pairs well without spending a fortune? Thanks.
Naim makes an excellent RCA to Din cable. It costs about £120 and will be just right.
Can you please tell me the exact model and where to buy it? Thanks
Contact your Naim dealer and ask for the Naim RCA phono - DIN5 interconnect.
Could you please send me a link with the exact model? Thanks
Unauthorised commercial links are not permitted here. Just ask your Naim dealer for the Naim RCA Phono - DIN5 interconnect. It’s also available to purchase online. Here’s what it looks like…
Thanks
Which input on the Supernai 1 should the 5DIN connectivity be connected to? Thanks
The CD input is occupied by the kmio CD player
OK then, use analogue input 2 (tuner)…
My local distributor said “no cannot get it but you can buy Chord instead”. So I had to buy it from UK. I guess it’s not a stock product so some resellers/distributors find it not worth the hassle.
There wasn’t great deal of difference between the old Chord Chrysalis and the Naim RCA-DIN interconnects - indeed, for a while Chord actually made the RCA-DIN interconnects for Naim, the giveaway being the Chord RCA plugs, albeit with a shiny coat of gold in Naim’s case. However, when Chrysalis was discontinued, effectively replaced by Crimson, everything changed. I’ve tried Crimson on a few occasions (and still have a custom 2 x 3.5mm - DIN5 lead in a box somewhere) and I much prefer the old Chrysalis or Naim grey interconnect.
I don’t understand if there is a problem with the availability of the Naim cable or if it is not suitable for connecting to the Lumin D2? My CD input is already occupied by the player; can you assure me that the other output works? In fact, until yesterday I used a traditional RCA connection of excellent quality, a BCD, which however suddenly stopped working on one channel; in fact, doing various cross-checks I realized that the problem of the mute channel was due to the BDC cable (replaced with old Monster cables). Do you think I can use these old Monster cables? Or will purchasing the Naim 5-DIN cable improve the listening experience? Thanks
