This is my first post on this forum, sorry for my English. My current setup is: CD5si, Nait 5si, Lumin U2 mini, Chord Qutest, KEF R500, Naim cables I upgraded my Nait 5si to xs3 and I have a few questions: what output signal value should I set in Qutest 1, 2 or 3 V? Which DIN socket in XS3 is best to connect Qutest to, In 5si it was connected with a 2RCA-5DIN cable to the TUNER socket, Will there be any difference?
I doubt you will hear any difference between DIN input sockets. No harm in trying different ones if you can be bothered!
You can use any output level on the Qutest. 2V will be closest to the output of your CD player, so should reduce any volume differences as you switch between sources.
Lower output may make the amp volume control easier to use as it allows a wider range of movement of the control, but it’s safe to use any level, so you are free to experiment.
