iPhone 16Pro - My App stopped working after the latest IOS upgrade?
Naim &Focal app not working in IOS 18
It’s fine for me and no problems have been reported - until now. Maybe kill the app and relaunch it.
All good here too.
thanks, I will do a full reset/restart in the AM, Router, Wifi, Naim, iPhone and see if it gets sorted.
Just try restarting the app first. Swipe it off the screen and re-open.
The Naim iOS app (on iOS 18) has been problematic for me and my partner too the last few days, I’ve tried restarting the app and the Mu-so, but it’s like it can’t see the device on the network, yet the Mu-so is playing and the web interface works.
I wondered if it was the firmware update, but that hasn’t been applied yet and my Mu-so still can’t see it, will reboot again soon to see if that helps.
I deleted and reinstalled App, restated my ND5 XS, i reset and restarted the modem, still the App in my iPhone 16pro -OS18 will not recognize my Naim Device? I am out of options? Any other suggestions?
I found my device was not recognized in my devices but i clicked on the settings cog and it was recognized in the settings, so it was an easy fix to re-sign into Tidal and Qobuz and now everything working just fine.
Thanks for all the help and suggestionsđź‘Ť
My app is running fine on IOS18 (although I’m on a iPhone 13 Pro Max, not 16).
Everything is working fine. App reset and router restart fixed everything.
Worth noting this down as a workaround for possible future issues. There is a very basic way to get to the streamer from a browser if you know its IP address. e.g.
http://192.168.7.6/webclient/
Worth saving this in your browser favourites, then you can get to it from any browser in your house
I have an iPhone 16 Pro and the Naim app is working for me.
Same here.
delete and reinstall the app (you will need your username and password) reset your modem, and unplug your Naim unit for 30 seconds. if your Device is not visible in the app, click on the settings and it will most likely be visible there, re-enter any streaming Service passwords and you should be good to go.
It is also a good option to make sure that it is reconnecting properly to your home network rather than just using mobile data. Having completed the upgrade to IOS 18, I didn’t have cause to use the Naim app with my Uniti Atom system in my “shed”, where I have another router set up to repeat the wifi connection. I rebooted the router and the Atom multiple times and also the iPhone. Only got the conenction back when I forgot my home wifi and rejoined the network. No idea what the code rewrite in IOS 18 has done but having noticed Bluetooth issues in IOS 17, I just assume there is so much more complexity in negotiating the handshaking these days and older configuration files might have glitches - the fresh start seemed to do the biz!
