Did you mean 2x10mm, or are we talking about different things here? Assuming you mean 2x10mm, a 4mm earth cable is sufficient to comply with UK regs in most situations. Where more is required, it’s common to fit 3 individual 10mm cables in trunking instead.

Thanks for the explaination. That seems to be different to Germany as cable is laid with grounding wire in the same diameter.Therefore my example with 5x10mm². A cable with 2x10mm² exists but is not intended for home installations. Especially since I find no cable in the specified Konstallation.

However I’m not up to date anymore, although I learned it over 45 years ago.
Wonder only about cables for home installation in which the ground conductor has a smaller diameter than the current-carrying conductor.
