I have relocated my system and will need to use an extension lead with four sockets to plug it all in.
What would you guy’s recommend?

As you only need two sockets, you could easily make something, as suggested. Might it be possible to get additional sockets installed? You could maybe get dedicated mains at the same time.
Hi HH, long time no hear!
I need four outlets and can’t get ones installed where I want them (new flooring has been laid).
So for now an extension lead is my only option.
@Stevegtx I have successfully used the Isotek power management system and their power cords. Expensive but well worth it. Dramatic lowering of the noise floor. I am currently using the Signa V5.
The MusicWorks G3 is an excellent block, which can be coupled with an IEC lead of a length to suit. I certainly wouldn’t go anywhere near a filtered or fuse protected one, it’s just not necessary unless you have mains issues.
Don’t buy an expensive chord block and power cable. I did, without testing.
Yeah it’s probably better than standard cabling on a good day, but not worth the £1k it cost me. Could have bought a tulip bulb for that!
Might be more useful if you have noisy maids I guess
Edit: noisy maids might be irritating for posh folks, but I meant noisy mains!
Yes a +1 for the MusicWorks.
Lots of other notable power blocks are around, but the MusicWorks is as good if not better.
But with most all these “audio” power blocks you will need to add the cost of a wall socket to power block cable on top of the price, and as you’ve already got Powerlines, you should really add another.
I’m from an electrical background and can’t come to terms with the audio power supply stuff. And guess what ??? I make my own!!!
My wall to power board cable is 4mm rubber similar to Naim Powerlines, The board is a 6 way and all wired in radial (star) …. such is what you can do with DIY.
You can buy Furutech mains flex off the drum to the length you require and suitable Furutech plugs and make your own (assuming your mains block uses an IEC inlet rather than a captive lead). That way you can build a quality extension lead at the fraction of the cost of a premade one.
But even proper Furutech plugs into heavy duty mains flex from you hardware store at £1.5/m for 2.5mm2 will result in a high quality low resistance extension lead that will be easier to fit to cheap (but heavy duty) mains block. I’ve done that on several leads for the hifi to special lengths.
Judge what is justified by your gear and the quality of your mains.
Start with a basic DIY shop one, no neon indicator, unfused and unswitched. Get the system working on that, play around with the order, source first, power last against the other way around. This will give you something to improve on for a fiver. Then worry about your Furutechs and Musicworks and whatnot, whatever you can get an audition on but now they have to prove their worth.
I think it would help to know your budget for this
Just buy a well constructed one without bells and whistles that utilises quality materials. No need for high price boutique cables IMO
I don’t understand anyone wanting anything other than Skeptikals solution , I used same albeit with 4 doubles. When kit is developed would manufactures not use what will be in 99% of domestic situations to sound check their kit .
Every other solution is a manipulation of the sound ,which many fall for as an improvement.
Ive heard a power lead screw up the sound of kit nevermind a fully fledged non std domestic power distribution solution.
I just bought an MCRU DIY 6 way extension shielded cable. Just need wire it up. Came supplied with a silver plated fuse
. For £35 felt like I was making more of an effort than the B&Q option. It can’t hurt.
I like the Wireworld 2 and have had no real desire to change it even though I’ve listened to the Musicworks block.
There’s always a Graham Hydra power cable
I have one but not as good as the Matrix 2. Probably due to me running a bunch of Powerlines.
Check out Russ Andrews who have a range of affordable and upgradable to not so affordable mains blocks and non captive mains leads and a 60 day try out period.
No fixed budget but …….
