Mary Black has recently announced her impending retirement.
She is doing one last ‘Farewell’ tour in Ireland during April/May/June 2026.
So last chance if anyone wants to see her.
Having seen her myself many [many] times it will be a sad day, but understandable all the same.

Very much a fan of her music have most of her albums also very much a fan of Frances Black her sister.
She’s one of the greatest Irish folk musicians I’ve ever seen, been lucky enough to see her multiple times in varying size venues, never anything less than amazing. I might see if I can get a ticket for one of these and tie it in with a holiday.
@pcd mentioned her extremely talented sister Frances, the talent has passed down a generation, her daughter Róisín O is another very fine singer.
Was lucky to see her at the RAH in the Declan Sinnott days, just amazing.
She’s fab. Saw her in Manchester way back. What a voice!
I’ll be seeing her in Limerick in May.
