I have a Naim Nait 2 newly serviced by Darren at Class A .. Lovely job by the way and the differences and things I had been missing are very apparant..I can recommend Darren great guy and very informative all the way through the process. I would just like to know what the most musical Din to Rca leads are to connect cd Players DAC’S etc.. I am currently using a very cheap lead.. I have a Sugden Dac and would like a very good connection between the DAC and the little Nait. My speakers are Harbeth PSR3 and I listen near field…Any one like this DAC.. ?

i use currently an AR sound Luna (really very good) and have used chord co shawline which offered a bit brighter faster presentation.

Currently I’m using this very cheap, (around €18,- , free delivery!) brandless RCA-DIN cable from Amazon, which still does a fine job on my Nait 50.
Obviously there are (much) better cables to be had, but at this price it won’t hurt to try.
You might also consider the most logical choice, being a Naim Lavender, which is (imho slightly) better, but several forum members have had issues with the rca plugs, (inclusing myself) so if you’d go for the Lavender, just plug it in once and leave it alone, then it should be fine.
I also tried a Chord Co. Shawline, but while sounding very transparent and detailed it was too bright for my liking.

I have the Amazon cable connected between a Bluesound Node Icon and the Nait 50.
Speakers are Dali Sonik 1 on Solidsteel SS1 stands.

Don’t forget that RCA to DIN is not the same as DIN to RCA…

Mogami W2965 Dual Coax OFC, Rean/Neutrik RCA→DIN connectors.
Affordable high quality, in my system sounded as good or even slightly better than the WH Morgana for which I paid 10x more.

Same here. Managed to buy a pre-loved AR Lunar a few years back, a well made cable that I never thought as a weak link between the DAVE and 552DR. However, the only other cable in my arsenal is an Naim RCA to DIN (although the AR is a clear step up) so I cannot comment on other so called high end RCA - DIN cables.

They are,
Mogami, Klotz, Belden, Sommer and a few others are big Brands in the proof. studio world where long lengths often are required.
Mogami do various cables, rather confusing number system, maybe others can help there.
I have a few of these myself, some Rega Couple cables are based on studio cables.
No snake oil.

I have used a Naim HiLine DIN → RCA with the WBT RCAs and ring collared DIN plug between my NDS and SimAudio Moon amp.
It was quite sensitive to position and ‘dressing’ with other cables.
I today use a True Signal Audio cable, their ‘Ulimate Silver’ version. They sourced a good 5 pin DIN plug, much more robust than the ones Chord use, and without the rings on the Naim HiLine and Super Lumina cables that seem to break. The cable used was similar in construction to the Chord Cables top-of-the-line at the time. Their RCAs are the solid ‘bullet’ type.
Better soundstage, faster transients, better bass definition from what I recall as I swapped them over. But I have definitely had both of them in the system at the same time.
Not like many who give an opinion having never listened.
I did buy it direct from them, but was priced inbetween HiLine & SL, so relatively expensive, but is the main cable from network player
Not sure they are still around, or whether COVID killed their business.
Their background was they made the Sarum Tuned Array cables for Chord Cables

Ive just bought a Naim Lavader 5 pin din to rca.. So I guess I am sticking to the Nait 2 ‘s cable array that would have been available when first produced.. When it comes I will give my thoughts compared with a couple of more modern equivelents …
I used Mogami with some good connectors ( cannot remember which ). I had the made by an artisan in Ravenna. I saw a shop packaged version of mine with the same connectors selling for several times more.
