I’m trying to set up my Mu-so 1 using the Naim app (v7.5.1) on an iPhone 14 running iOS 18.5. My Wi-Fi is on 2.4 GHz.
During setup, the status light flashes purple, which I understand means the Mu-so is connected to Wi-Fi. But when I tap “Continue” in the app after successfully entering my Wi-Fi details, it starts searching for the Mu-so again and can’t find it. The light stays purple and never turns white.
I’ve also tried manual setup via browser, which works — the Mu-so connects to the network — but it still doesn’t appear in the app.
Has anyone experienced this or know what might be going wrong? Thanks in advance!
Turning off AirPlay on my iPhone, then turning my iPhone off and on again did the trick. After my Mu-So finally showed up in the app, I turned AirPlay back on. Strange, and it worked for me.
We’ve had a Mk1 QB for years and it’s been rock solid on WiFi. (Here’s hoping I haven’t jinxed it!) In fact it’s actually more reliable than our QB2 which occasionally drops the connection, even though it’s closer to the router. Perhaps we got lucky.
