I just downloaded the Firmware update for Mu-so 2 - 4.4.0 (6575).
Are there any release notes for this version?

I’m not convinced this is officially released yet. I just noticed today that it was ‘‘available’’ within the app and proceeded to its installation. I followed the instructions carefully, which warned it could take up to 15 minutes for it to complete. After those 15 minutes had passed and the status led was still blue and the top knob flashing white, anxiety started creeping in slowly. While I was looking for answers to my questions, I realized there was absolutely no information about this update and it’s not even listed on Naim’s update list. After 2 hours of frantically searching for answers, I decide to verify if the Mu-so was still connected to the network and I realized it wasn’t. That’s when I pulled the plug. I was able to reboot without any problems and everything worked just as it did prior, as it never updated itself. It still shows version 4.3.2. Before I attempt another update I’m gonna wait for the iRadio to stop working. Then I’ll know it’s official.
Absolute nightmare - 40 minutes later and the dial is still in merry go round mode - power off for 10 minutes and then restart and according to Focal there is still the 4 4 0 update to happen… but it is working after a fashion…
… but the muso has disappeared from the list of Bluetooth devices on my i pad settings… Reset Network settings - nope… Reset i pad… - nope… ah well connect through i phone… Time for a new i pad… no we can set it up on the ipad through Spotify… all working again…
Before the Muso I had a £15 rubberised John Lewis wireless jobbie that that would connect in seconds, never a problem…
Technology is so tiresome… I am going to have to ask my five year old granddaughter to sort it out for me next time she comes over…
Agent X20, would you go so far as to say that if you managed I can manage to update Muso 2 to the new firmware?
Jean - Michel - Good afternoon
I never managed to update the Muso so have left it as it is. ( if its working leave it well alone… )
Finally managed to get my ipad to ‘see’ the Muso but getting connected through Bluetooth is a very hit and miss affair…
Hello I have tried several times to do this update and after 2 hours it is still trying to update with the side light now on blue and the top white dial flashing.
I assume there is a problem ?
Does anyone know if there is a firmware update pending to allow the original Muso to run Tidal Max, or is that just wishful thinking?
Wiim issue firmware updates on a regular basis - I’ve never seen one report of problems, unlike the Naim boxes which always seem problematical.
There will be an update to the original muso and Qb to get the new internet radio service. Naim said a few days ago that it wasn’t ready yet. But so far as we have heard, it isn’t going to include an update for Tidal hi res or any flavour of Qobuz.
