MU-SO QB 2nd Gen. // Alarms missing

Hey Team,

the Alarms have vanished from the App for the MU-SO QB 2nd Generation.
Any of you experiencing the same problem after the latest App- / Firmware Updates?

A pretty bad hassle with the new Internet Radio function:

Oh, and our MU-SO 2nd Generation offers Alarms and Sleep-Timers:

Very strange indeed.

Thank you for any advice!

I’ve just checked a couple of mine, just updated them all this morning…
And seems to be the same as what you have: Mu-so has the alarms in settings, the Qb does not…!
I don’t tend to look at the Qb much in the App as I typically multi-room to it from other devices, so I would probably have never noticed….
Having said that, have never really used the alarms function anyway….

Guess it’s either an oversight in the new firmware or it’s been removed for some reason….Hopefully @Stevesky can confirm…?

What’s within system settings? Maybe it’s been moved in the menu.

Qb gen 1 unaffected.

No, nothing within System Settings on the Qb2….

Yes I have exactly the same issue on QB2.

Also, a minor point, it doesn’t seem possible to disable some input settings any more, e.g ‘Analogue’ and ‘Digital’.

I do believe it‘s an App-Issue.

The Alarms-Option was gone before I update the Firmware to 4.4.0 (6575) and didn‘t show up after the update.

Didn‘t find the Alarms in any sub menus.

We use the QB2s Alarms everyday - works like a charm.

I have the same issue. Two QB2’s updated yesterday and now the alarm functionality has disappeared. The alarm worked this morning but obviously lost the ability to change the settings.

It’s there for me… I’m using Android, are you on iOS?

I’m on IOS so it looks like it might be an issue specific to IOS users.

Alarms are showing for me following update on the app for QB2. This is running iOS (on my ipad)

I use iOS 18.0 / 18.0.1 with the App version 7.1 (11739).

Same behaviour in iPad OS 18.0 / 18.0.1 with the same App version 7.1 (11739).

That’s odd then. I’m running firmware version 4.4.0 on iOS version 18.0.1 and I can’t see or access any alarm functionality.

Same firmware 4.4.0.6575 as you but older iOS 15.8.3 as I use an ancient iPad Air 2. Maybe this is the reason?

It‘s not related to the Mu-So Firmware update rather than the Naim App version on IOS .
With an older iPad (app 7.0.1) the Alarm can be set as usual, with a new iPhone and IOS App version 7.1 the Alarm is missing.

I’m having the same problem, Mu-so Qb 2nd gen, iOS and app version 7.1. I have contacted Naim support about this. It’s an important feature for me.

My kids were late for school twice before I realised this had stopped working and it wasn’t the kids just mucking with it. grrrrrr.

My Qb2 have only 2 purposes: book at bedtime, and wake up alarm.

Does this need to get reported to Naim support for a fix to be applied?

It’s been reported by at least one poster above. I’d imagine Naim will see it as high priority as it’s a feature completely missing. (This is just my personal view with no inside knowledge.)

We got the same problem with a MuSo QB 2 (see screenshot

.
Using the same app my MuSo 2, shows Alarme and SleepTimers (see screenshot)
.
An old Qb is also fine.
So it’s looks like a combined problem iOS 17.6.1, Naim App 7.1 (11739) with the MuSo QB 2. and only the QB 2.

But this is not my only problem. Showing to my favourite web radio station is an triangle with a „!“. Telling me that the link to this radio station will expire soon. And it is telling me, that I should do something. Saying I should save it again. But it doesn’t show where and what, because the sentence beaks of (see screenshot). If I try to take the „favourite“ of this station, it tells me, it is connected to an alarm, and I should disconnect it before.

So I can use the alarms and I can’t renew my connection to my favourite web radio station.

That’s pretty bizarre. I hope someone of Naim is reading here and fixes things soon.

We just realised, that our son got the Naim App 7.0.1 (11293) with an iOS 18 something. There we’d been able to do the alarm settings we need for tomorrow.
