MU-SO QB 2nd Gen. // Alarms missing

The missing alarms setting seems to be a bug in the Naim app v 7.1 for IOS. I’m sure it will get fixed quickly.

The firmware update includes a new internet radio service hosted by Naim that replaces the old unreliable v-tuner service. What you need to do is to search for your wanted station by going to internet radio in the Naim app and finding the station in the listing, then saving it in place of the old one.

I’m sure Focal/Naim marketing will get round to explaining and promoting this new functionality one day.

Some strange things going on following the update. The QB2 that has the alarm set (that I cannot change or access settings for) has this morning lost the system settings option completely!

But back again now after restarting the app. Still no alarm functionality though.

I too have spent 30 minutes trying to find the alarm function in the updated app in order to update my alarms; before checking the community.

As naim are closed until tomorrow I have sent them an email asking when we can expect this function to be reinstated.

I received a response from naim saying that it is an error at their end. The fix has already been created, and will be released in the very near future.

Yes, Naim tell me the latest small patch release fixes the following bugs;

iOS:

Alarm clock could sometimes not show in the settings menu for Mu-so Qb 2nd Generation
Settings menus could sometimes not update instantly

Android:

Setting TIDAL to Max quality setting could still report as Low
App could struggle to play TIDAL tracks with no album art
Multiroom icon could sometimes fail to show on Now Playing

I can confirm, that the alarm setting is back to the QB2.

But now, may MuSo 2 doesn’t show up in the app any longer. And even worse, all tries to connect it again doesn’t work.
What’s that?
