Mu-So QB2 cd player

Hello. A newbie to these forums so I hope this post is in the right place.

I have a Mu-So QB2 and I want to attach a CD player. I understand there is a line-in input on the unit so as long as the player has a line-out, it should play. Would that be correct?

I’m really just looking for something cheap and cheerful like a portable CD player.

Any help would be much appreciated.

You can also connect a CD player via the TOSLINK input, and this would be my preferred route, thus avoiding a whole digital to analogue and then analogue to digital conversion step.

If you’re set on a personal CD player then look for one with a digital optical output and stick with a well known brand (SONY, Panasonic, Pioneer etc…). Better yet, there are many great little CD players from the '90s onwards that offered a digital TOSLINK output and are available for very little secondhand.
