Is it possible to get the multi room feature working with non-Naim equipment? I have a ND5 XS2 in the lounge and a couple of Sonos speakers in other rooms. What I’d like to be able to do is play something on the ND5 XS2 and on the Sonos simultaneously. My understanding is that the multi room only works when all the equipment is Naim but I’m happy to be corrected.
I think Roon would allow you to do that. But you would need to buy a license
The Naim Multiroom is a proprietary implementation, so you can’t Multiroom with your Sonos. If you’re streaming from an Apple device you can use Airplay 2 to play to both, but that only works for apps that support Airplay 2.
