See my post ‘Let them be’…
As someone who already has some retro Quad (just for fun) I’m getting tempted by the thought of a reimagined 33/303.
Would be cheaper to run than valves if anything!
I also own a Nait 50
Sorry, I don’t take much notice of reviews, prefer to form my own opinion and experience.
Maybe your right.
I did like the original UK Quad stuff and still own quite a bit of this.
I’ve tried the Chinese Quad and was left un-impressed really.
Must say Chinese mass produced kit and their aquired brand labels (Leak, Quad, etc…) leave me cold.
Ok maybe that new 33/303 can touch me, still looking fond at my older editions here on the shelf.
Why should I not express my own opinion rather than marketing from a website ?
You know nothing. That’s why you should actually find out.
I think the retro Quad 33/303 looks great. They just need a new FM3 to complete the set. It will be interesting to see whether they try to ape elements of the particular sound of the original. I hope so, otherwise I’m not sure of the point.
FM3 or something with streaming capabilities?
Yep a matching streamer would be lovely
Indeed. And they are from Sicily.
My god that’s f’ugly……
I try to be very friendly on this web page, but the one and only time I auditioned a piece of IAG kit , I came within a veryclose purchasing point. it left me with a very positive view of the brand.
I seem to have this idea that Naim are a foreign owned company who manufacture certain of their products in China

Anyone demoed his new new systems? His promise Is to be the best among the bests
I, for one, would be very happy to see constant references to China-made products as generalized c*ap disappear. Sometimes it risks bordering on some form of veiled racism, I think.
I think it is often related to products bought at the cheapest price and unsurprisingly turn out to be manufactured at the lowest price as well
I agree that there are some terrific China products. I have the Auralic VEGA G2.2 and love it.
However, I can’t agree that not liking their products as racism. This just feels (in my opinion) is a way to stifle opinion on brands and diminish the true meaning of the word. The problem is that so much gear comes from China is catered towards the budget market, not just music gear, and can suffer quality issues as a result. As such, rightly or wrongly, an image is formed that poor gear comes from China. Nothing to do with race.
The turntable, yes. The Kondo amps are gorgeous. Not a fan of vintage speakers. The sound however must be something, as it’s top Kondo system, one of the very best today.
You will be all disappointed I feel. Nothing new from Naim at Munich.
Only the new Focal headphones.
200 and 300 series even not connected. Only Nova PE with Focal speakers working.
I’m, sorry, that is not what I wrote. I meant - and I think I wrote - that a generalized bashing of China-made products risks bordering on veiled racism.
I regret having raised the point. These opinions always create issues.
(But I still think what I wrote)
