Thanks for the reply.

I asked the question originally as, in my former career, I had a number of very wealthy clients & needed to visit their homes.

In 45 years I never came across any quality Hi-Fi systems although, without exception, they all had huge flat screen TV’s (which I suspect many simply viewed as status symbols). Hi-Fi is clearly not seen in the same way by most monied people.

That’s not to say no wealthy people have expensive Hi-Fi, as your reply clearly shows they do, it’s just that many don’t seem to see it as that important. A cheap music centre tucked away well out of sight seems to suffice for most.

The quality Hi-Fi I did come across was invariably owned by those that were more ‘financially challenged’, probably as a result of buying the equipment in the first place!
