I am off to Paris in a few days for a holiday and am going to the Focal showroom hoping they also stock Naim and I can perhaps get an Atom below £2k (thanks to the 12% tax back), but any thoughts on Focal speakers of a similar spec/grade to the Dynaudio Emit M20 you mention? Might be another opportunity for a bargain…
I’m reluctant to recommend combinations that I’ve not heard and enjoyed myself, but there used to be some good Atom deals with Focal speakers. Some dealers may still offer them. Personally, I use little Neat Iotas with mine but that’s because they have to be well mountable behind my desk.

One of my friends bought a PMC TWENTYfive.22 at an end of model sale, with an Atom.
Her purchase price was amazingly low, making it an awesome value for money proposition.
Significantly, it is a very musically enjoyable combination on the PMC stands, with some tangible bass.
