Muso driving me nuts

I’ve had a Muso for around 12 months. When I first got it, I was really pleased with performance, however of late it’s started dropping out all the time. Sometimes it will just jump in and out as if it were buffering and other times it will just stop, then start playing again a couple of minutes later. This happens whether streaming Spotify, playing FLAC files from network storage or listening to internet radio. It is connected via ethernet cable, via a network switch rather than direct to the router. Any suggestions as to where the problem may lie?

I also have two Yamaha Musicast devices within my network, one ethernet connected, the other via wifi, and I have no issues with either of them.
