Not for the first time, seeing his photo I am of the opinion that Dave Liebman is a dead ringer for Zoot of the Muppets.

Impressive collection @Nigel1957, thanks for sharing it. So many big names and they looked so young! Were they all performing in Reggio Emilia or Northern Italy?

I took all these pictures in Reggio Emilia, at the annual Jazz festival that they used to hold, between 1988 and 1996.The Pat Metheny shots that I took in Ravenna, are the exception. I managed to get a part time, second job, as a photographer for our towns theater.

ECM were very involved with our Jazz festival, I saw Manfred Eicher, behind the stage several times.
