My New Linn Selekt Edition Hub + NAP350s System

Rather than continuing to take over the ‘what is the latest bit of gear you have purchased’ thread, I thought I would create a new one to share feedback on my new system.

Initially, I will have the Selekt Edition Hub, configured as dual mono out, feeding my NAP300DR. That will then be replaced with a pair of NAP350s, which will arrive in the first week of February. Whilst I would love to have them now, it has worked out nicely as I will be able to compare and contrast against the 300DR.

Selekt should arrive in a few hours! Updates to follow!!

Just in time for the weekend too so you can get some hours on the Linn before the 350s arrive. Mine are just coming up to their first anniversary so are nicely run in now :ok_hand:

Good point Dan. @What_Are_You_To_Me , get yourself a Linn account too which will be needed for further configuration. Just remember to enable the volume control setting (so it’s not in fixed level). You’ll find it in the settings via your Linn account.

I’ve only heard very good things about the 350s from anyone who owns a pair :+1:

It’s that good. Been a monobloc , it does its job real well. Very very stable amp. Easy to use and very obedient amp

It’s a nice setup actually. I too gave up my 252/300 for the NC 300 .

It has arrived and I have managed to get it set-up and connected to WiFi. I couldn’t get any sound to come out of the speakers though…I think I have the Burndys on my 300DR the wrong way round; but I am now on work calls for a few hours. Typical

BTW - I was told it is ex-demo; but I am 99%+ sure it is a brand new unit that has never been used. It is in pristine condition and the batteries for the remote were still in the original packaging.

very excited for you mate!

with the no sound…do you have the correct cables? nap300 inputs are not balanced (even if they are on xlr) 350s are balanced config

I think so. I have a pair of Sarum T RCA to XLR cables, which the dealer checked for me and said worked. I’m not sure he did this with a 300DR though…I’ll try swapping the Burndy’s around after my calls and if that does not work I think I am likely to have the wrong cables

thats how it needs to be wired at the xlr end, might be worth a phone call to chord

If you have not touch any cables at all , and just installing linn, and you have the RCA to XLR , it shouldn’t give any problems. It’s a direct plugging . Have you switch to the right output? and check which RCA port you are using . And from your 252, just switch to where the RCA are been connected . Your linn should play .

Also , maybe you should check the linn apps .

Btw , have you got your scala ?

I didnt go that route mate, I kept my Diablo, bought an lp12 and a nap500 in the end.

I might look at a Rel Carbon special at some point this year
