My System is now totally dialed in--and tracks I used to do it

Greetings from Utah–

As I love this hobby, I will continue to enjoy this great community, but my system is now where I want it, and it is outstanding. No need to tweak a thing going forward.

To recap, my system includes:

–NCS 222 / NAP 250 combo

–Focal Kanta No2s

–NACA5 Speaker Cable that AVOptions Cyro’d

–AVOptions Balanced Interconnects

–Isoacoustic Gaia II Neo isolation feet

I dialed in speaker placement with the following tracks:

–Dire Straits: On Every Street

–Stevie Ray Vaughn: Tin Pan Alley

–Yello: Kiss in Blue

–Billie Eilish: Everything I Wanted

–Diana Krall: All or Nothing at All

–Hermanos Gutierrez: Los Navegantes

–Anna Von Hausswolff: Stardust

System absolutely rocks all these tunes. Couldn’t be happier.

That’s great to hear Mark, thanks for posting. I’ve heard the NSC222/NAP250/Kanta 2s and it all works well together.

My regards to Utah, where I spent much time in my youth.

That’s good to hear. Coincidentally I did seriously consider a Naim-refurbished NSC 222/NAP 250 package when I upgraded to a Nova very recently (it was well-priced too). I’m sure it would have sounded fantastic with my Kanta No.1s but on balance I decided to stick to a one box solution. It was a close call though.

Anyway, enjoy your music!

Park City & Deer Valley mostly, but also Snowbird where I would ski a bit later on in the spring and hike during the Summer.

Nice selection of tracks.
I have same electronics, interconnects, speaker cable, earlier Gaia III’s and upgrade thoughts (or lack of).

@Tapp I will have to say, the AVOptions interconnects were a surprising upgrade. I was always suspect of what expensive interconnects could do, so when I found a second hand pair for half price from a person who moved to a $40,000 integrated, i decided to take the plunge given their reputation. Full price is worth it IMHO. Isoacoustic was also a very nice add.

That’s a great deal for the AVOptions XLRs but I’m biased!
Quite refreshing to hear you’re content with system rather than being stuck in the never ending upgrade cycle, or indeed wanting to be in it, which is par for the course round here.

True….but…..I found the 222/250 combo much improved by adding the NPX300 power supply.

Ducks…runs for cover…and gets coat!

I made the mistake of listening to the 222/250 with and without the NPX300.

I couldn’t unhear what the NPX300 did.:wink:

It was a while ago but I heard the comparison twice, once at a dealer and once at Naim’s HQ.

I just remember the music sounding more coherent and expressive with the NPX300 in place. So much so that I remember feeling that I wouldn’t be happy with the 222/250 without the NPX300.

Others on here recon the NPX300 does not represent VFM on the 222.

I suggest you stay happy and simply don’t demo the NPX300.

Yeah–extremely happy where I am at. No need to spend another $9,000 to eke out a few more percent in audio performance.

Quite correct, it’s not really a good VFM choice……… but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t sound great :+1::grinning_face:.
