I am another candidate for a 282/250 combo. I have really had my heart set on a 252/300, but the dollars get to high for me. And I am going with used too.
And perhaps as others have done, it’s also easier to do a 282/250 upgrade in stages without having to get an expensive power supply immediately. For me it’s easy, I can get either at any time and still have a working system. My best path if doing in stages is to get a 282, then a HiCap, then a 250.
As it happens I am lucky to be getting a complete and mint 282/250 in March, (but a bit rubbery as the guy selling to me is waiting for his 252/300).
I believe a 282/250 is where the music really starts and the hifi gets out of the way.
I have lived with my 200 for 8 years, it’s a great amp but not in the same league.
I quite recently made the step up from 200dr to 250dr, and there is a noticeable difference! Sound stage and more controlled bass. If you can stretch to the 250dr then do so.
Very interesting topic. For me a 282/non Naim PS or HCDR/250dr will be my end game. Happy with my SN2/Non Naim PS for now !
I tried the 250DR with my 282+hcdr, at home with my Dynaudios Contour S3.4, tried also the 300DR and this one was a huge improvement.
So finally I move from 202+hcdr+200 to 282+hcdr+300dr.

Hi I was asking some of you got to ascolare Ampli integrated Luxman and Accuphase 30 w for channel in class A and Leben CS600X 32 W for channel in class A with valves EL34.
The 30 w amps for class A channel and valves according to many as quality are the best ever obviously not suitable for aggressive and metallic rock.
