Connect from socket 3 of the hicap, you will need 4 pin din on one end and whatever the gryphon needs on the other end.
The output is not balanced.
There are very good power amps with Naim badges on as well as the gryphon, have you considered nap300 or a pair of nap350? But then you would need to consider moving up to the 252 plus supercap.
Hy. Im live Im hungary and hungarian used offer is very limited from Naim product… I want to buy a new nap300dr but the distributor says no
Suply.
The gryphon input is balanced xlr
In which case you’ll need to figure out how to connect single ended output to a balanced input; I believe there are in between adapters that can work.
I read here on the forum that the new classic series is compatible with the classic series, just need a special cable. Couldn’t that be the solution? Because if I can connect two 350 power amps to the hicap, then this too(I think)
Yes, Naim can supply single ended to balanced interconnects which were designed to connect the Classic pre-amps (single ended) to the New Classic (balanced) power amps.
Thank’s,
I thought a lot and decided to buy two New classic 350. I love Naim sound, I dont want spoil it the sound
Good choice. They are superb amps.
Have you considered swapping the 282/Hicap for a 332? It will match the 350s perfectly and you can use the balanced interconnects that come with the amps. In for a penny, in for a pound!
That will be the next step, but I need to save up Money first. In hungary nothing a big market from used Naim Equipment. Hard to sell anything…
That sounds like a very good plan.
