NAC82: Is phono input same as CD (no cards)?

WBTs are pricey. I would guess that Naim get them from the U.K. distributor.

Just fit some 50 ohm BNC plugs to the interconnect.

If the 82 is powered down with monitor engaged. Is monitor still engaged when then powered up.

It was seviced by Darren only a year ago and this job is so simple I think I (at one time a trained electronics technician) can manage it.

I’m sorry but I don’t understand what you are saying.

Ah, WBT is a brand? I’ll look further.

Presumably the pre has a monitor button or switch to allow the user to monitor a tape recorder as it is recording.

If a cd player is connected to the tape input and monitor button is engaged you will be able to listen to the cd player.

Nope. No ‘monitor’ button. :frowning:

When people say adaptors degrade the sound, they will almost certainly be referring to low level signals from a cartridge. You’ll be pushing relatively high level signals through the adaptors if you’re using a streamer.

If the BNC adaptors sound as good as the cd input, carry on using the adaptor.
