NAIM 5 pin to RCA

Well it would certainly make life a lot easier, but Naim presumably have their reasons, and Chord specifically point out on their website that their DIN cables for Naim gear have a longer minimum length than their RCAs, because they sound better that way.

ISTR discussing cable lengths before and I was told it’s easier to stock one long length to cover all options rather than a range of lengths. With the already messy nest of cables behind the hifi rack, IMHO a shorter length makes life easier and neater!

Admittedly that was mains leads but I’d think the same might apply.

I’ve had various Chord Company cables over the years (Crimson, Chameleon, Cobra etc), admittedly with RCA source to DIN input on Naim amp but they are usually pretty good at changing cables and you can also order them to fit your needs. Something like a Clearway or a Shawline perhaps and usually a fair few second hand available.

I use locking cables from flashback.

I have used Flashback for cables and they have been brilliant.
