We lost one of horses to old age 2 weeks ago and I felt guilty about listening to music at the end of the first week of our loss. But this week I listened again and reflected on the number of times our system has allowed me to work through grief by allowing the musical emotion to flow and allow me to lose myself in the lyrics or just a piece of music.
It was just a thought that I have retreated into my music when life events make you look for support and I suppose that it is true that Naim does provide the link between the original artist or composer and the end listening experience.
Completely agree.
For me too, music almost always has a connection, with something, somewhere or someone.
Most of the music we have - in our home - I could tell you a story - some connection with the real world - a place, a time, an emotion, an event, something that happened along the way, in your life.
Maybe a track or tracks you are listening to you - right now - will alway remind of your loss this last week?
I often tell Tony, our local Naim dealer, he probably has the best job in the world - maybe without realising - that what Naim HiFi does, is to connect people with their music collection and their emotions. Long may that continue.
Music is almost always about emotions
Best wishes

So sorry for the loss of your horse ,losing a pet is never easy is it
Hope the music helps you to remember the good times with your horse.
I forgot places, people, habits, haircuts and that i’m getting old.
But music is always there.
Must be something…
