Have you tried contacting Naim…may be your best bet…
I know about 10years ago someone was searching for the manual and finally got something from Naim…
I dont think Naim even see many of them now…even the AV2’s are getting rare…!
I guess it won’t be transcoding Dolby True HD…!

The official Naim Audio website is the best place to find documents and user manuals for their products.
Failing finding one online, give Naim support a try.
The AV-1 doesn’t even do Dolby Digital. Naim didn’t wan’t to pay license fees so it works on the ProLogic analogue signal and only adds rears but no centre channel.
Last time I heard one was on some crazy system with active DBLs with a six pack of 135s and active SBL rears. They compensated for having no centre channel by turning it up so loud you simply couldn’t tell where any sound came from that well.
I don’t think they sold many. It was a great example of what not to do. And they applied those lessons well by the time the released the AV-2.
