Does the 2 0r 5 year warranty transfer to new owners if purchasing second hand (not from dealer) please Clare?

In the UK, the original 2 year warranty is transferable to a new owner, but not any Naim extended warranty.

I do not believe that’s the case in the U.S. unless it changed when Audio Plus was taken over by Naim-Focal America. I don’t have any second-hand gear that new so it wouldn’t apply to me in any case.
I’d be interested to hear the opinion of a consumer product lawyer on this matter. I believe that consumer protection legislation provides more protection than Naim and their representatives on this Forum would have you believe.
