It was an expensive dac to buy new in 2018, especially with an external PSU.
Yes I guess it’s a mixture of all of the above, I believe it was around 2 to 2.5k? So yes quite expensive and those that do have them are likely to be hanging on to them as it really is quite special.
Dealer and naim gave us same advice - no service needed. We chose to service anyway as it’s better to be safe than sorry, especially considering the value of kit the nDAC is connected to! Caps replaced.
Our nDAC (and other new boxes) are now run in and sounding utterly fabulous. I think we’ve reached the point where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts
So thankful we decided to take a punt on the nDAC.
Lovely place to be, simply enjoying the music
Ok, that’s on my to do list, peace of mind as you say!
my logo is going dim now, wonder how much it is for a checkover and logo change?
Dealers can often replace logos.
good news / bad news situation…
you all know what happens when you visit your dealer.
Had my logo changed in summer of 2019. £94 at my friendly A****-T.
Took about a week to order and get the bits and 3-4 hours to change and soak test.
