Naim Desktop Application

There used to be a Naim Desktop application that one could use to manage you music database from ones PC. It allowed one for example to edit playlists, delete tracks, monitor/manage cd ripping etc. Anyone can point where i can get that these days for old schoolers like me?

You may be thinking of the Windows Desk Top Client which controlled a server like Unitiserve and HDX. It’s no use for anything other than one of those early servers and if you want it you may need to ask Naim support as the latest version was never out online.

Or if you are Mac rather than PC then you could be thinking of N-Serve. This is also to control the old servers like Unitiserve and you can get it from the Apple Store.

Neither of these work with any other products. But there are other options. What do you need it for?

I do that with Windows file explorer and mp3tag. If I want to rip a CD I use EAC.

If you have a Mac with Apple Silicon then you could run the Focal Naim app on that. That’s control only though.

There’s an undocumented WebClient for second generation streamers:
http://192.168.1.11/webclient/
Where 192.168.1.11 is the IP address of your device.
A bit clumsy but provides some information and options not readily available elsewhere.

I believe @KenC is asking about a control interface for a 1st gen Naim ripper/server. These suggestions of alternative ways to access a Naim streamer are no use to him, I’m afraid.

And you are absolutely correct!
