# Naim ,Focal, Barco collaboration

Expected when barco bought over. Doing home theatre multi channel system. Hope it’s just a launch and not the direction naim is heading.

Conversely, it may be just the kind of thing (i.e. additional revenue streams) that ensures Naim’s long term sustainability.

AV/CI ( custom install ) market is vast

Mate installs kitchens/bathroom @ Six Figures in luxury new builds for 20 years & never seen one decent 2.0 audio system installed

In the same period seen several hundred AV systems , £50k-£1.5million

Big Atmos AV systems use 16/32 channels lots of Focal/Naim Music in Atmos can be superb on the right system

Naim won’t bring out another AV processor, at best they will align with Storm again and do a few small tweaks, what they should do is align and work on a suitable DAC that can handle the now becoming common AES / DANTE set ups. It’s a world of ‘functionality’ and good two channel is hard out of these processors, never loved anything out of any of these processors

The other interesting processor is the new mini DSP Tide 16, better bench performance that any thing else but no idea how it sounds.

The idea that you can have both is obvious the reality is unfortunately different, with DSP and all of the ‘expected’ auto EQ etc.
