This will future proof you - and its not worth arguing over another 1 metre of cable.
Some might even suggest going a bit longer still. Many years ago, I guessed at 8 metres per side - and this length has worked in I think 5 different locations, for my system.
My friend also told me that. He have 2x5 meters.
