NAIM ND5 XS- Worth It To Purchase Used?

I’ve read this thread as I am considering the same. I currently run a 200DR power amp with 202 preamp and the Node2 streamer which I purchased 6 months ago. I have the opportunity to buy an ex demo ND5XS which has hardly been used. Do I do this or get an external DAC ?
Would buying the ND5XS be a waste of time and money?

My view is that if you buy it , you are buying for the DAC alone .

Last week I listened to a Node x with an external DAC and Shawline interconnects (into a Nait 50) and it was very good indeed

What DAC would you recommend for doing this.

I tried the Qutest but the on–board DAC on the ND5XS would be no slouch .

I also have an offer of an NDX2. Would that work with my 200DR and 202 and HICAP?
