Naim Nova Remote - volume control

I am able to play and listen to music on my Naim Nova using the app but not with the remote. I hear no sound when I press the play button. The track I selected is displayed on the unit, so I know I am have selected the right input . How do I troubleshoot to make sure that the music is actually playing and the volume controls are working? I have a feeling I am doing something wrong and that too something very basic.

Every now and then when my Nova goes through an update I lose connectivity with both the app remote and/or the handheld NAIM remote. If you can’t change inputs or change volume you may need to go through the remote setup procedure again. Don’t forget to check the batteries I made that mistake too​:grinning_face:
