Naim Nova volume wheel broken? - help

Hi guys , please help!
The volume wheel on my Nova has stopped working :exploding_head: , has anyone ever had this? And is it fixable?
I’ve tried powering down the Nova and back on but that hasn’t helped
I can still control the volume via my phone apps
Thanks
Pete

Time to talk your dealer I think

I can’t say re the Nova, but my Gen1 Mu-so dial packed up years ago…Don’t know why or how, and it gradually got worse from the time it first started, but the touch screen was non responsive and the rotating dial became very intermittent….As it was a Mu-so and I was in Australia, I figured it just wasn’t worth a repair and besides, I mostly used the App to control….But have to say, when I then later got a Gen2 Mu-so, it was a pleasure to have the dial back…!
Have no idea what caused it…whether it was an electrical surge (possible) or just a failure, though I’ve never come across anyone mentioning similar….

Never had a problem with dials on Atom, Atom HE or Nova ….

As said, perhaps best to refer to dealer…

Have you moved it recently? The vol wheel is connected by a ribbon cable that may have come loose

Are the front panel buttons (other than power) fully functional? How about the Naim remote control (I see the app is working fine). Which firmware version are you running?

You could try a full power down including removing the power cable for five or ten minutes and the do a full hard reboot as it powers back up. This “extra long” power cycle sometimes seems to clear things out a little better than a quick hard reset.

Many thanks for all the input guys
I returned home , plugged the Nova back into the wall socket and all is working fine :exploding_head: :face_exhaling: #gremlins
Thanks again
Pete
