Has anyone done a head to head with the current powerline (not the lite) against the white MK plug that used to be standard?
Would the white MK plug be better than the powerline lite?

The old Crabtree used to be the preferred mains plug, with the MK coming second. When supply of the Crabtree plugs was problematic, Naim would fall back on the MK.
The Powerline Lite uses a lower cost version of the plug designed by Naim for the full-fat Powerline, and Naim judge it superior to both the MK as well as the Crabtree.
There are loads of posts about the 4mm/2 Power line vs the old standard cable with the MK 13A plug, all rate the PL as a big step up.
Re the PL Lite 13A vs the old standard MK.
The Lite 13A plug is a better design than the MK as it has some decoupling features. The cable on the Lite with its molded on IEC plug is much like the old standard cable.
