Just wanted to point that it’s less risky to do 252/Boulder than Boulder/300dr.
Part of the issue for me is I know I want the Boulder 1110 preamp (linestage), but I don’t yet know which amp I will get. There are several options: 851 monoblocks, 1163 stereo, 1162 stereo, 1151 monoblocks. My preference is for the 1162 or the 1151 monoblocks, but that is also a significant extra expense. The 1163 may end up being the most likely, from an affordability standpoint. But I really want those 1151 monoblocks. All the choices are pure Class A to full power.
Chances are I will just get the preamp and amp at the same time, and wiring a 1110 to the 300DR will become moot. There is little to no chance I will get a Boulder amp first and connect it to my 252.
