Hi all, I have a Prefix S that needs a small repair. One lead has broken off the resistor (I think its a resistor - just a brown blob) connected across the tonearm ground/chassis connection inside the unit. The resistor has no visible markings.
Any idea what value I should replace with?

What you are describing is a resistor - a Varistor.
It should have its value stamped on one side.
Google it in images.
Pete22 you are correct - so small I did not see it. Here is what is printed but Googling does little for me with my shallow knowledge I am afraid. Anyone with good electrical history know what this would be?
The item is 3.25mm wide.

The print on your broken component is not that clear, but the ‘D’ could be ‘B’ and matches the parts you’ve found.
These are 10nF capacitors, and as a circuit to ground connection it makes sense in circuit topology, a capacitive ground connection. It blocks direct current (DC) while creating a low-impedance path to ground for unwanted high-frequency noise
