I’ve picked this up, was wondering if any others collect/own naim records.

Difficult to tell exactly what the deal is these days with Naim Records/The Naim Label (not even sure what the official title is): in abeyance? Still releasing? Extinct? The relevant section on the Naim website (yes, I know, I know) talks about 2022 in the future tense, so something’s clearly Not Quite Right.
Back in the late 90s/early 2000s, Naim were a force to be reckoned with in indie label terms.
I have a few and i think a cd or 2 in the loft.
I can’t imagine collecting albums from a specific label. It would be like making a point of collecting books published by Penguin.
I have a lot of albums. Maybe 3 or 4 happen to be on the Naim label.
Only picked it up because it peaked my interest,
I have a few,earlie ones mastered by Julian Vereker are fantastic !

Several people reported issues with their pressings and ended up returning them. I guess I was one the lucky ones.

I’ve collected quite a number over the years and, being into vinyl, did some QC testing on various pressings for label managers Anna T and Simon D. In later years Simon would always put aside some LPs for me when I would visit the factory (thank you Simon!). The one I always wanted on vinyl, but it never happened, was Thea Gilmore’s The Lipstick Conspiracies.

I believe that a lot of people do actually collect Penguin Books!
A lot of record labels appear to be collectable, e.g. Island, Deram, RCA Nova etc.

I guess but then it might as well be like collecting stamps. To me it seems nuts. You buy the music you want, not the label.
Sometimes the music you’re buying is on a label which happens to have a great catalogue with some great musicians, like the Vetigo first swirl albums with “A Philips Record Product” are excellent. Another case are the albums by Island during the pink “i” releases. It just happened that they were great records by great bands.

Mine was OK of that one.
I also have the first Yazz Ahmed on vinyl plus a whole bundle of Naim releases on CD.

Just noticed I also have the Neil Cowley Trio’s Radio Silence as well on vinyl.
I do however, just like you do, have a few others on CD.

Yes I agree I always wanted Thea’s album on vinyl and also Charlie Hayden - Private Collection which I have on CD.

Tim, Charlie Haden’s Private Collection was released in a 3LP vinyl set, so should be out there. Sadly The Lipstick Conspiracies was never released on vinyl.
