Naim Speaker Connectors Query

Just to clarify if the Naim angled speaker connectors will fit into a NAP 140 ?

If you mean the Naim SA8 speaker connector then yes, they will fit a NAP140.

How are they superior to standard 4mm plugs ?

They are the same metal to metal match for the sockets, require good quality soldering (a good thing) and the case allows the pins a small amount of movement so they can follow the best path down the socket, while also ensuring that any torsional strain is minimised, which at best can give a less than optimum internal contact area, and at worst can cause PCB damage where 4mm sockets are PCB mounted.

There are at least two different width spacing for Naim speaker connectors which I found see attached link

Couple months ago was having my Naim dealer solder various Naim plugs onto my NACA5. We noticed two distinct pin distance sizes of Naim logo’d plugs. Those for the Atom are narrower distances than the SA8 plugs Finally we put SA8 Naim plugs on my NAP250 end , and then we put Ovator plugs on my speaker ends(which are same pin distance width as SA8). The right angled plugs all have the standard 19mm spacing which the OP needs. Only the straight plugs supplied with the Atom, Unitiqute and NAP100 are different.
